ESA's Climate Change Initiative (CCI) Biomass project provides global data on above-ground biomass of woody vegetation for 2007, 2010, and annually from 2015-2022 at a 100m resolution. The global maps are generated from SAR data acquired by ESA's Sentinel-1A and B and JAXA's ALOS PALSAR and ALOS-2 PALSAR-2 satellites. The mapping builds on algorithms developed initially through ESA's GlobBiomass Project, with advancements from ESA CCI Biomass. Algorithms are informed by information on forest height and cover density from spaceborne LIDAR, including NASA's GEDI. For more information about the data, see ESA's CCI Biomass project page.
