The American Forest Foundation (AFF) is expanding its use of the Lens platform to monitor forest health and the carbon improvements made under its Family Forest Carbon Program (FFCP).
The expansion is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Forest Landowner Support program through the Inflation Reduction Act. Together, AFF and Upstream Tech will work to increase confidence in FFCP activities, and will pilot a novel carbon baselining methodology designed to help the program scale its work with small, family landowners across the US.
The partnership dates to 2021, when Upstream Tech began supporting AFF's verification of forest health practices for the FFCP. With Lens, AFF can assess carbon reduction progress across enrolled properties remotely, without relying on site visits alone.
Lens helps carbon teams conduct project diligence, monitor for reversals, and track change over time. Work with us to learn how Lens could support your work.
